Alloy Indicator Stalks
Discussion
If, like me, your car doesn't have the alloy covers over the steering column switchgear, I've just fitted a pair from Racetech Direct. They needed a tiny bit of filing of the plastic to slide them on but now they're held on really snug with no glue required (so should come off again without any damage if ever required). Really happy with them and I didn't think too bad at £80. Took about 10mins to fit and has made it look much snazzier. I don't need to feel inferior to those cars that came with alloy stalks anymore!

£100 richer … That's what they cost from TVR when your car was ordered new … I paid for them but never got them because some TVRv worker nicked 'em for cruet sets (Salt & Pepper pots for the ill informed
) But finally I did get an original set of covers for my Modeo stalks
, initial I did have Farbio ones (only two I think on TVRS ) , over the years they've cost me a fortune .

Usual TVR. They had a number of stalk covers made and stuck them on as standard until they ran out towards the end of 2005. So the earlier cars had them from the factory, the later ones didn't.
Anyone know if the wiper delay dial alloy cover was standard with the stalks. Mine has it but I thought just the alloy stalks were standard in 2005.FYI, my Tamora (as seen now fitted with Racetech alloy stalks above) is an 06 plate (so somewhere right towards the end of production presumably) and so it came with the alloy wiper speed knob, but was also therefore late enough that they'd run out of alloy stalks (so it was missing those).
My 2003 T350 came with the alloy indicator stalks but the wiper speed knob is the plastic knob. The alloy wiper speed knob is with smaller diameter than the other knobs (lights and heating control). Never seen someone offering the smaller alloy knob.
Will Racetech get it in their program as well? A plug and play version would be great.

Only ever seen the alloy knob on a few cars and usually the later ones
I was just lucky someone was selling it on ebay as no one has them for sale.
Will fit it once I get round to fitting Brendan's carbon steering surround.
Pretty sure it just fits over the original plastic knob if I recall

If someone finds a source for them, I would be interested in having one too...

I assume that Nick refers to the wiper delay button not the stalks. http://www.racetechdirect.co.uk/car-parts/accessor...

We should inform racetech that there is a market...
