Morning everyone. A few years since I sold my cerbera and I’m looking at purchasing a T350. I went to see this one on Saturday and it is in fantastic condition from what I can see. Good history and power 4.3 rebuild 5 years ago. The only unknown is the chassis as it’s waxoiled so can’t really see.

Just wondering peoples opinion on price / value considering the mileage.

Thank you

Looks a good price for a 4.3. If it needs cosmetic bits it leaves you a lot of cash over some other more expensive sellers to get it sorted,

I think my biggest concern is the mileage. I’m trying to buy something that will cost only to run rather than depreciate as I would be looking to sell in 3 years to try move into a sagaris and it seems this car has been at this price or thereabouts for nearly 6 months and no takers

Really just weighing up if it’s worth buying a lower mileage example that will maybe hold its value better as I’ll only be adding approx 3000 miles a year on

That's a very good price for a 4.3. I wish I had the room!

"Outriggers are sound"

this would be my biggest concern.....the word sound is often used to describe a situation in a positive way...even it already has reached the critical state.

from my understanding in "collecting" cars for at least 25years it means:

expect an outtrigger repair...and from my expreince with TVR´s chassis in general, the original chassis is at least 5years over its lifetime

new chassis, plus body repair, plus high mileage = way to expensive!!

Of course, sound could just mean exactly that. Without any of us having seen the car that is a very big assumption on the state of the chassis. My T350 is only a year newer than this one, by your reckoning is my chassis also fooked?

My understanding is that the T350 chassis were better built than earlier TVRs. If properly looked after I don't see why they should have a lifetime limit. I have a 2004 T350 and the chassis is in good condition. I would describe it as sound.

Looking at the ad I would say you need to consider whether you can successfully paint just the front of the car. Spectraflair colours are notoriously tricky to match. It depends how bad the "scuff" is.

I wouldn't worry about the mileage - the higher mileage cars can end up being more reliable than the garage queens!

A good (annual) service history at a respected specialist and a low number of previous owners would be far more important to me than mileage.

Thanks for indirectly teaching me never to SOR a car with Mansori!

Hmm..

On that note, you'd be becoming owner 9. So when the time comes to sell, you'll be pitching the car to a 10th owner... that's quite high.

Less important, according to MOT records its nearer 67,000 not 63,000

Finally, previous ads on Cazana suggest a full respray in 2013 (https://cazana.com/uk/car/T3SOY)... I'd be wanting to know if that was just a freshen up, or due to accident damage (front end possibly, hence the decision to upgrade the engine at the same time).
