Sagaris dash fault codes
Discussion
Any advice would be appreciated on how to fix multiple fault codes when I start the car for the 1st time after a couple of weeks:
0 volts, ECU fault, followed by what looks like all the sys fault codes there are. When I run the car for a few minutes, switch off and restart, all dash readings are normal.
Thanks

If it's cold you will get 'faults' for oil/water temp as they are out of range. As soon as they warm up a little they read fine.0 volts, ECU fault, followed by what looks like all the sys fault codes there are. Error 250 is clock, there is no error code for low battery.
However, having error 250 shows the battery is low as clock has failed. The downside is that if you replace the battery, you have to do it with the ECU plugged in with power applied, otherwise you WILL lose the clock and there is No way to reset the clock unless its re-programmed.
However, even with no battery, the system will not do as you describe and will flash up error 250 on its own and nothing else, having seen a lot of these pass my bench, if you have no loose connections/plugs etc, you most definitely have an issue with your control unit.

Did you check the basic things first, e.g. the chassis ground post behind the battery? I recently serviced a Sagaris with plenty of codes and slow starts. Cleaning the grounds did the trick. As you mention it is all good after a drive I really think this is worth checking.
Good luck, Markus
