Sagaris Steering Arms
Discussion
Hi,
I have been trying to locate a set of the sagaris steering arms.
Much to my dismay I have found it impossible, no one has them or is holding on to them.
I think my only route now is to either find a drawing or some kind person willing to lend me one so i can get some machined up. I have access to to machining immediatley.
So, anybody have one laying around they would care to lend me ? obviously the favour will not go unnoticed.
Thanks

I made these for my sag so I could mess around with bump steer but i don't have them fitted to the car at the moment & they still need material machining off as they are heavy. I currently have the std Sagaris arms fitted. You could borrow these along with a measurement of the std Sagaris swan neck if that helps to make your own set

Did anyone of you guys get any where with these steering arms ?! I’ve no been able to find much bar a few images on internet, but not accurate enough to scale
Would it not be easier/better to measure the required geometry for your car and go with that than get a part made for a car with different suspension layout?spitfire4v8 said:

This every time. What are you hoping to achieve anyway ?

Well I need to make more than one. A batch is being made this week and they need to be sent off for three stage gold zinc plating.
Price isn’t finalised but I’m trying to keep it sensible and realistic. It will be less than any one else has sold them for.

I may be being a bit naïve here but why do the steering arms need to be zinc plated rather than just powder coated? Is it due to the heat process during powder coating affecting the material strength? Price isn’t finalised but I’m trying to keep it sensible and realistic. Zinc plating (especially with a nickel plating first) gives superior corrosion resistance to powder coating. Powder coating is great until damp gets underneath it from cracking or abrasion and then it eventually peels off. Arguably more important is plating is much thinner so will not mess with the dimensional accuracy of the part. Powder coating can vary in thickness depending on the operator.Gassing Station | Tamora, T350 & Sagaris | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
