Hi All,

Can someone please PM me the secret way to open a T350 when you have no power please? I thought I knew it but after some considerable time I'm doubting myself. It's probably in the Sagaris bible, which is locked in the boot...

Please check my posting history, genuine TVR owner smile

Many thanks!

Find it! Like a Tam but a bugger to fish out. Thanks for the help.

Follow up question!

I had presumed it was the fuse in the passenger footwell which I'd changed recently causing the lack of electrics, but all my inexpert diagnostics suggest it isn't

Drove home Weds night, all fine, went to start the car Thurs morning, dead as a dodo - no LED, doors didn't open, no sign of any power, which led me to think it was the footwell fuse gone again.Got into the car today and the fuse seemed OK, I'd replaced the strip fuse for a midi style one and no sign it was blown, but changed it anyway just in case it wasn't obvious. Car still dead.

To eliminate the fuse and or connections I touched the two wires which attach to either end of the fuse together, reasoning I'm eliminating the fuse from the equation. result - still nothing.

Could this be as simple as a dead battery? The only slightly odd things the car has been doing recently is occasionally hanging onto the revs, not dropping as quick as they used to.

All help gratefully received once again.

Thanks.

I've just started a thread about my Tamora with no electrics, sounds as though the fault is very similar to yours, hope you got into the car ok and that one of us finds the answer, I'm guessing alarm/immobiliser

I have nothing - no dash, no LED, no doors, no life!

Same with me, it seemed to intermittently flicker on and off. I though that i was clever by always leaving the window down whilst in the garage, but at one point when it came into life it set the alarm off and put the window up! Luckily the targa roof was off

I would get the battery checked to start with, then get all earths cleaned and fuses in the battery compartment

I'm not sure if it is the same with a T350. My Tamora has got at least 2 big fuses: One in the passenger footwell, one in the battery compartment. Have you also checked the second one?

my money is on dead battery. I had same issues after a storage period when my battery was marginal and my garage MCB tripped which stopped the charging. can you get power into the car using a second battery via the Anderson connector? that would rule out the battery as being the issue.

Battery compartment fuse is for the power steering. Fuse board supply is the one in the footwell

On my one I tightened the connection on the 80amp in the footwell and it seems much happier, the connection was definitely a bit loose, I'll use it properly at the weekend
