Now don't get me wrong - I'm a big TVR fan and currently own a Griff having got out of Tuscan ownership becasue there wsa always something wrong with it - I'm now tempted to update by buying a Sagaris or new Tuscan but the thing is they are still powered by the same engine that everyone has had all the troubles with - not sensationalist nonsense but fact, backed up no end of, now regarded as tedious PH threads on the subject and ex-dealers who will tell you privately that they are still owed thousands on warranty claims on the engine that TVR have failed to honour. Love the marque as I do and tempted as I am by the looks of the new models and the reviews, I still have reservations about swapping the Griff.

So what do you want from us? Don't get one then. Nothing we can do about it is there? No point in telling you they're fine now 'cos you might still buy a pup ...

Keep the Griff, tis a fine car.

Or accept - like I have - that the Tuscan, and the S6 are superior to the Griff and the Rover V8. But, and it is a big BUT, that the S6 is liable to blow up at least twice as often as an RV8.

For me, the newers cars are so much better. I would like the S6 to be bulletproof, but at 100 BHP/litre, it isn't going to be sorted for a while yet.

TVR's apparent attitude to S6 problems however, is deplorable.

Edited to add...oh and I bought one - see profile.

I ve had 27 trouble free months of S6 ownership and have just taken delivery of a second S6 engined car. You will find lots of people in that situation.

A full 3 year warranty. I bet you didn't get that on your Griff.

I was very tempted to post something in defence of the S6 and quote my relatively short experiences but it opens the flood gates.

I will say that we (self and MrsS) were concerned about the change from Rover V8 to S6 - no need. I'm very gald we did it did it.

Ditto here too, 12 months trouble free (S6 wise) and fantastic driving, could I go back to my Chim (although we loved it!),, no, the new cars are simply too way ahead in almost every respect

Ditto. 2 years, 24k miles, no engine problems.

Company policy dictates it has to be changed this month and I'd replace it with a Tamora if they bothered to stick a dealer this side of the Severn Bridge.
