I let my car get quite low on fuel for the first time and I got the 4L warning on the display (which then went up to 19L )

I filled up at the nearest Optimax-dispenser, and found that I could only get 35L in (according to the pump) but the car registered the full 51L.

Is it likely that I have some kind of airlock, or do you think the pump might be faulty?

It's pump 1 at the Coppid Beech Shell in Bracknell if anyone else wants to try their luck

Just realised how stupid I am.

51L - 35L is 16L which is probably how much I really had... shouldn't put too much faith in the TVR fuel gauge!

I know what you mean, I have at times had panic because the guage showed me almost empty, only to add another 10 litres a mile down the road!!!!!
The capacity should be 63 litres, according to my handbook, but the max the readings show is 54 litres!

Had the low warning a few times - don't know how accurate it is. 4L is the lowest I've been - in rural Belgium on the way towards Spa from Trier - great road ... just had a race up to 150ish with an NSX (I was 2 up and full of luggage and I wasn't much quicker than him) ... then I realised there were no service stations at all until Spa. Sh1t! Got lost driving around the local villages trying to find a station. It's pretty rural out there.

I can never get more than 52L in my tank. I find if I try to fill any more after it clicks off it will start to spurt back out (Tamora might be different, T350 can be tricky to fill right up).

Its deinfately 53l ib the tamora. Having got down 4l in France and sweating a lot finding a station I just now make that the plan at 15L!

On the first full day of Eurohoon last year, we were careening across the middle of France, passing villages with no pumps, and I got down to a consistent "1l" fuel warning - just before we all pulled into a petrol station. Phew!!

I've let mine get really low a few times and the most I've ever managed to fill her up with is about 45 ltrs - from when it show's as good as zero on the gauge. The fuel gauge is obvoiusly out - I've had both the software re-set and the sender-unit replaced and its still exactly the same!
