Hi Everyone

I pick up my new Chameleon Green T350C, 04, 2800miles from Mole Valley this saturday, to say I am chuffed is an understatement. After having to sell my Chimaera last Oct. I am so pleased to be back, so expect many questions from me

So, to begin then:
Warming up - what temperatures should I let the oil and water fet too? Is it best to keep it below, say 3k revs at this time?
I will be checking fluid levels regularrly, as on my Chim, whats the recommended oil? I still have a big bottle of Castrol RS, is that OK?

That's it for now, I know there will be more.....

Cheers
Mike

I usually wait until oil temp. reaches 50oC before exceeding 3000 revs.

The handbook will tell about oils - I tend to use 5w40

With regards to oil, as Nubbin said, refer to handbook.

As your car has only done 2800 miles, I don't think Castrol RS will be any good (at moment - but will be ok later) as is fully synthetic.

I think you are to use semi-synthetic until the 6000 mile service, from which point on you change to fully synthetic, i.e your Castrol RS.

As far as revs go, under 50/60'c keep revs below 3,000.

Set the green dash warning light to 3000 so its easier to know when to change when cold.

I am a bit worried now, as the car will have a 6000 mile service before I pick it up. I have started a seperate topic to gather peoples opinions..
