I have a problem with the driver side window on my Tamora. When I open the door the window doesn't drop down the 1/2 inch or so, so when closing it again the seal is trapped behind the door in the wrong place.

The local dealler suggested WD40 at the front and back of the window and working it up and down a few times, but this hasn't fixed it.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks.

There are 3 potential reasons for this fault.

The first thing to do is turn on the ignition (de-imobilised) with the door open and look at the disply on the dash, if it does not show r/h door open the problem is probably down to the door micro switch located under the alloy panal covering the door catch. This is the most likely fault and a easy fix. Because the door ecu does not think the door is open it will not drop the window. Firstly remove the 3 screws on and remove the panal. On the right hand side of the catch you will see a black micro switch with a silver arm, make sure the arm is attached to the switch and fits inside the door catch. You may have to slightly bend the arm into the door catch. You can test to see if the fault is fixed by closeing the catch maunauly with a screw diver and opening it with the button. If the fault is fixed re-fit the cover.
Other potential faults are the window encoder, or the door ECU, both of these faults will need to be sorted through a dealer.

Many thanks for that. I will give it a try this weekend.
