Looking good Chris - is that just to get rid of the stone-chips or have you had other problems?

Had thought about using them to respray my S - glad to see some examples of there work.

Looks like a ferarri of some kind.

Hi Chris
It's just to get rid rid of the stone chips, and I'm also having the bonnet grille and front spoiler body coloured also, I used to hate looking at those thousands of tiny chips in the front after I just spent about 4 hours washing and waxing the Tam!
They are quite reasonable too, £940 for the front, wings, all black trim to be body colour and bonnet, plus they pick it up and deliver it back to you (if you're within a 50 mile radius) in a covered recovery truck!
(if you click the left and right buttons above right of the pick, there are more! )

Chris,
Had the front end of the T350 done twice now - can't stand stone chips! I must say that the paint from the factory was not as resistant to chips as the first repaint done by the dealer(not sure what undercoat was used). Hopefully the second is as good or better.

FIBREGLASS!!!!!!!!!!! its a nightmare!!! whatever paint you use, it will always be suceptable to chips, just some paints more than others. You can use aditives but then you get other problems.

I should get it back early next week, they tell me it's almost done! What is the glossy white coating?, a primer?

Guess so. I assume they're using a nice bright white to make sure all the stone chips show up well

LOL, that's what I thought also!!! Grey would have been a much better choice of undercoat, I would have thought!

I don't think the cowlings and lenses were taken off, looking at the pics and all the masking!
We have a 40 mile drive on Saturday to take it down to the dealers for it's service, where I have to leave it yet again!

OK, Got it back

http://community.webshots.com/photo/276199410/287208650QLjWwg

The complete price, which included re-doing the 2 front wings, front, bonnet, all black trim body colour, touching up a rear scratch. fitting new rubber strip to drivers window, picking up and bringing back in an enclosed recovery truck, and a CD phot repair record came to £934.13 inclusive of Vat,, and I must say, first impressions are very good! It looks like new! I would recommend them!

Right, what's next on the 'Tam list',,,,,,,,,,,,,

Great price considering the extra work over a normal 'nose job' - they had the car for quite a while didn't they ... must have lavished a lot of time on it.

Where are these guys based?

Chris,

Have you thought about colour coding the boot lid lip and diffuser, just trying to spend your money.

Hilti.

Targ, they are based near Bromsgrove, got their details from Sprint, it 'should have taken 5 working days, but there was a prob with the pick up truck, so I waited 'till that was fixed rather than pick the car up myself, mainly due to the icey conditions!

Ginner, I did think about the rear diffuser body colour, but I have to admit that I prefer it black, I have also seen quite a few Tams with the colour coded diffuser scratched to hell, which would cost a lot more to sort out.(I was maybe a bit silly in having the front lip spoiler body coloured TBH!)

Edited to add some answers that others had queries about regarding the primer and masking off of the headlights directly from Option 1;

We can answer a few of the queries -

Shiny White Stuff -
No this is not an anti-stone chip primer - we believe there is no such thing!
The pictures you see are after all the primer coats. It is a white base-coat applied prior to painting with the finishing colour.
We do this as it allows us to see any finer imperfections that might possibly get through the primer stages prior to the first colour coat of paint.
(Our website shows our 7 stage Multicoat System.)

Lenses -
TVR indicator and lamp lenses are bonded in - we only remove them when specifically asked for - they have been known to break. Therefore we give the option. However, we always reseal around the lenses so they look as original equipment.

Hope this helps. Also am posting your 'touch-up' paint - sorry Frank forgot to put in the Tamora.

Any other questions /queries - please ask - we will do our best to help.

Will contact you end next week to make sure everything OK.
