Just been having an argument with a mate at work about the top speed of a T350.
Anyone got any objective data-i.e. not factory claims or speedo.

On a Private 4 lane driveway of course.

My Tam has 'apparently' done over 170mph (from a very respected source), so I assume the quoted top speeds are fairly accurate.

I had 178 on the clock on the way to folembray, and was timed at 158 at Bruntingthorpe which was spot on what the speedo said. There was more to go at 178 but that was scary enough thanks!

Only had 155 out of mine. Speedo is 100 accurate when measured with a GPS though. Traffic interrupted play in my car, plenty of go left in the car. Flasher's speed feels very achieveable.

174 mph on a pda Gps in germany , unluckely, someone pulled out infront of me in the distance so had to slow down. It was still accelerating at that point pretty reasonably. that was the last atempt as i soon reached france.

Since sold the car, but my new one is arrivng next month, rr conversion etc, so will post what it will do soon!!!

157 at bruntingthorpe, speedo 100% accurate. The car seemed to hit a brick wall at that speed. My Tuscan red Rose has been to 182 there, but I guess thats the 4.0 to 3.6 difference.

Tuscan red rose of fellow Pher Rods, hit 167 at bruntingthorpe.

I have a little more power at VMAX 7, so I will see what happens then

Thats bang on almost to the mph with mine at Brunters, it seems to flatten out at that speed. The 178 was on the autoroute in france where I had distinctly more than a mile and a half to get there!! All the acceleration seem to die out at Brunters when you went into 5th gear.

HA! I win I win...

Thanks all-thats what I was hoping for.

It all stacks up-I had 158 out of my old Tuscan S one day without really trying and there was plenty in reserve. Didn't get the brick wall effect-maybe its a gearing thing-is 5th an overdrive? Can't be,not very TVR that is it. The T350 has had a look inside a wind tunnel so I would be suprised if areodynamically the Tuscan is better.
