Maybe it is me, maybe it is the car.
Whilst I do not condone speeding, close by to where I live is a very nice piece of straight dual carrigeway, approx 1 mile allowing you to see what a car can do if you get my meaning.
Anyhow when changing from 3rd to 4th at 6500 revs (not looking at the speedo)the back end on every occasion flicks to the right, about two feet.
Scares the s**t out of the other half and I am now wondering if it is the car or my style of driving, any ideas?.

Shifty,
Without being funny, my car was also given a full geometry check by a very respected main dealer, then the very next day it was checked prior to fitting my Nitrons, it was found to be way off... including negative toe-in on the back wheels..(this isnt just what they told me - I witnessed it too..). Since then it has handled vastly better than before and is a lot less nervous at the back end (which is not just down to the new shocks)...

Are you engaging the clutch abruptly with enough revs on to break traction? This doesn't explain why the car would consistently pull to one side, but it's a technique that is very hard on the transmission and can get you into trouble in slippery conditions. If you aren't breaking traction, then anything that causes the car to pull sideways is a major safety concern.

Not aggresive on the clutch or high revs when relesing the clutch, no loss of traction such as wheel spin.
No damp as really would not try if it was, dare say would probably be facing the wrong way.
Maybe best as said earlier to try geometry check, any recomendations am close to David Gerald, TMS, TVR Power, Silverstone, i.e. in the Midlands.
None of these dealers did the 1000 mile geo check, but I would prefer a reccomendation.
