Does anyone the headlamp bulb type in the T350?
I want to replace them with some brighter ones (Osram Silverstar?), but the muppets in Halfrauds are no help...

HF - "dunno - have you looked on the chart?"
mjc - "It doesnt have TVR listed..."
HF - "err ok, dunno then.." (confused look)

ps - yes I know I can take out one of mine to match it in store, but its such a pain in the a*se job, I only want to do it once!!

Thank you!

Sorry, I don't know, but the driver's side bulb can be reached quite easily when the bonnet is open, it's just the passenger side one that requires excavation.

I've always been very impressed with my headlights - plenty of light for me. How bright are yours if you stand and look at them (not head on - don't blind yourself!). Mine are very white and bright (does that make sense). They're not Xenons, but the light output is nearly as good. I'm thinking maybe you're not getting enough voltage to them due to an electrical/wiring issue??

They do "look" bright, but when I'm driving I do feel that I could do with a bit more visability...
These "Silverstar" bulbs are supposed to be 50% brighter and illuminate an extra 20 to 30 meters of road - cant be a bad thing..!!

I do get your point about the wiring though... seem to remember reading about a wiring mod somewhere that improved headlamp performance.. - might try and dig that up too.. not sure if it was just for "older" tvrs though...

Thought I saw it on Tvrfix, but it all seems to have changed...

I know David Beer used to sell a wiring upgrade kit for the Chimaera/Griffith so you could fit higher wattage bulbs without fear of melting the loom. This also ensured more volts made it to the bulbs I think.

Out of interest I ran 80/100 H4s in my Chimaera for 6 years without fault (never could understand why others thought the lights were bad, a bulb went and when I went to change it I found out I was running illegal 80/100s ).

I believe Silverstone TVR offer upgrades to Xenon lighting. I don't think that will be cheap.

Let us all know how you get on with the brighter bulbs! (I fitted them to my A6 and they made a small difference). There is a website where you can get them for sensible money BTW - something obvious, google it.

Slightly off-topic but does everyone else have a very "dim" interior light? It's has been one of those things I've been meaning to get round to but haven't.

Yeah, pretty pathetic isn't it. Must be easy to uprate.

In fact, when the boot is closed and you look at the interior light unit from through the glass the trim isn't even finished there. Looks crap.

You've got me thinking about lighting now. Might try to add some footwell lighting on the same circuit as the interior light, plus a brighter bulb in the std unit ... First I need to fit my front speakers this weekend (just received the pods from dealer/TVR).

There is a good motor factors near me in Wycombe - AutoParts (near Halfords). I take the old item in and say "I want one of these" and they go off and come back with one. Sometimes I say what car it's from.

Plan to order my Mintex MDB 2207's (front pads) from there next week.

I did this to get a brighter bulb for my Chimaera's speedo too - worked a treat - make the speedo the same brightness as the other dials. They also had 80/100 H4s in when I needed one.

Spoke to the dealer - Apparently both the main beam and dip beam bulbs are the same, model number
H7.
