Anyone changed the seats in their T350?

Really hate mine 'cause I'm a skinny chap and I float round all over the place, particularly through right turns where I have to steer one handed whilst using my left elbow against the transmission tunnel.

Went to look at some Sparcos yesterday and look like they may fit. The Sparco Evo seemed like the model for me. Not too wide, plenty of lateral support whilst not being too restrictive such that long journeys would be a chore.

They are 85cm tall, 50 wide at the hips and 60 at the shoulders. Similar to the T350 seat, but 10cm wider at the shoulder.

Seems from other posts that getting the seats out might be a bit of a job without cuttting them to bits...

Thoughts anyone?

Assume you've already tried taking seat cushion out? Several of us have had 1/2 height cushions made which make a surpising difference. Find ok now even if car's sliding a bit, tho' could do with proper grip on torso as well - like wife's standard Impreza

The seats will come out very easily. 4 bolts underneath, then tilt the backrest over the transmission tunnel, and 'reverse' the seat out of the car. Easy peasy.

I take the cushion out for really spirited driving, and also have a half height cushion. Certainly helps been 'deeper' in the seat.

Are you sure 10cm wider at the shoulder is going to fit? Or is that a mistype? 10cm sounds quite a lot.

Good luck - the seats are the worst part of a great car.

On another topic I had a door panel off today - wow, nice and easy comapred to my old Chimaera. Found front speaker wires connected up and waiting for me - cable tied to the window mech (tried a speaker on them to see if they were connected to the head unit and they are), I'm pleased about that. Just need to pick up the speaker pods from Post Office, missed their delivery yesterday.

Thanks for thoughts all.

Tail Slide, I can take the seat cushions out, and it does help a bit. I quite like the height with them in though, and you're right there is still no support at the shoulders.

Targarama. I did mean 10cm wider at the shoulder, and it does look like a tight fit. Might give it a go anyway. Seats are 260ish, and I would buy just the one to start. If it doesn't fit, then I can stick it in front of the playstation ...

Out of interest, where are you going to mount the front speakers?

Bomb, did some work on the pies this weekend. Still away to go though

Front speakers are going in std pods supplied by the factory. They mount on top of the door card, not very pretty IMO but something needs to be done about the sounds (already upgraded the rears but sound is still in the boot, not in the passenger area). Check out a few dealer ads and you'll see a picture of the mounting sooner or later.

Newer cars have speakers in the door pockets and a big bass speaker in the back. Much cleaner installtion. But it would cost a lot to re-do my leather door pocket bits.

First thing I noticed when sitting in Bomb's 350 (apart from the smell like a canoe factory) - was the lack of support from the seats. Unfortunately, Bomb had indeed - ate all the pies (and drank all my beer)

Perhaps if you had one or more children, you would fit the seats? Seems to work for most women. (did I say that out loud??)

I've just fitted a set of 7x9 in the back of my car. I made a false mdf shelf that protrudes oyt 5 inches from
the rear.

Took me all day but sounds a treat
