Out for a little jaunt yesterday, sunshine out and all that, On my way home theres a nice wide straight A road (used to be 60 but now down to 40limit).
Coming onto this A road straight across a roundabout speed est at about 50ish, then proceeded to accelerate in 3rd, no cars infront, and slight traffic the otherway. Didnt actually check my speed but we all know where the red line in 3rd is.
I then slowed for the brow of a hill and down to some traffic lights. Looked in my mirror to see a volvo est police car. Lights changed to green off i pull and then 400 yards further on he pulls me over.
Oh dear im thinking the worst.
I got the usual "does the 40mph limit not apply to you then sir" i apologetically answer.
He said he was sat near the roundabout and notice the rapid pace with which i crossed it, a pace which then acclerated rather quickly.
He then comments on the car and suggests i slow down if want to keep driving it.
Enough said, luckily that was that and i was on my way.
He was on his own in the car and mustnt have got a check on the speed.
More vigilance required

Tempting isn't it. But we must behave in limited areas and save the fun for derestricted roads ... (sounds like this road is a destricted type road if you got to the top of the revs in 3rd - what's that? 59mph?

Edited to say: Nice piccy of the car there - lovely colour - is it Nightfire Red?

Certainly is, actually wouldnt have been my first choice, but does look good especially in that sort of evening sunlight.
