Yep, a subject covered before but I have just requested a quote for single event insurance and been quoted £260 with an excess of several thousand pounds!!! Is this in line with what other people are paying?

Cheers,
Howard

It's not cheap that's for sure, that quote seem a bit high though. Excess is usually £1k or higher. Still cheaper than a 30-40k car.

This has made me think of something I've been meaning to ask for a while about accidents on the track. I'll post it in the trackdays section.

Best thing is to try to get your main policy with track days covered. Last few years I went with Sunninghill for this reason. This year I'm with Mannings who only cover TVRCC trackdays. Mannings were £200 cheaper for me ... the cost of one trackday policy.

Come June (my renewal) I'll be hoping to get cover included with my policy again (silly me thought I wouldn't want to take my new car on the track ...).

I have this dilemna at the moment - do I go with Privilege for about £640, or pay about £300 exta for Sunninghill and the track day cover. I will prob do 1 track day for sure, but not sure if any more, so maybe go with cheaper option. + I'm very skint at the moment!
