Your problem is going to be the solenoid for the boot latch. Before you start take the LH speaker out and feel inside and you'll find it stuck/bolted to the bit you are planning to cut through. If you manage to relocate it then 6x9s will fit OK so hopefully slightly bigger will too. I wouldn't start work until you have managed to relocate the solenoid.

Take the trim off from around the rear panel - it just unscrews and makes things much easier.

I went up from 10cm to 13cm round speakers which actually slotted straight into the same holes after cutting the carpet back a bit (sod of a job), I just needed to drill new holes for the fixing screws.

I might put them into an MDF shelf if required. If upon

Depends on the type of journeys you undertake. We took mine to Italy last summer. On the long stretches of Autobahn at 120mph it's nice to have some sounds. Naturally the stereo front panel was never fitted for days razzing around the alpine passes

Or how about sitting in a traffic jam? Perhaps you don't realise how feeble the std kit is on the T350 (my farts sound better). On the new model T350s they have a much better setup with tiny speakers in the front and a fat bass speaker in the back.

Its as said by Targa for the long journeys.

That crap rear sub is the very reason I am putting 7x10
in the car. The whole standard set up is shite.
