I've been looking at Tuscans and Cerb's but the Mrs is trying to persuade me that the Tamora looks cute in Crystal Topaz. However, she is a little bit worried about how the vinyl roof cleans up after our feather friends' little accidents, or general use.

Any tips on cleaning, and any comments on how they come up?

Cheers
Maf

Are you sure the Tamora is vinyl - I though Tivs were cloth.

Anyway, a quality shampoo and a soft detail brush should do the job. Wash the hood and gently stroke (and I mean stroke) the hood with the brush - it may take a while...dont use force.

If you get a Tamora (and its cloth/mohair), then treat the hood with Fabsil, that will help repel the poo.

The roof of the Tamora isn't vynil. It's mohair like any other TVR. Bird shite cleans off quite easily....

I'll second that. Mines parked in a barn full of nesting swallows....

Thanks chaps, I will let the Mrs know.

Sorry about the vinyl thing, I just picked a word that meant the black bit to me, rather than any shiny/painted bits, with out really thinking about it.

I remember back in the 50'& 60's when cheaper roadsters like MGAs and Spitfires had vinyl roofs but the up-market cars like XK140/150's and Big Healeys had mohair roofs. Got to be mohair on a TVR really!

Less PC as Vinyl can be recycled. Not a lot of point on a V8 I suppose...

Why not leave it open, then you would not need to clean the roof :-)
