Car is due it's service in March, and I'm pretty sure the brake pads will need changing. I noticed in the classifieds these;
Set Of New BOXED Front Disc Pads Ceramic Technology For Late Tuscan,T350 and Tamora.
Function from cold to 750 Degrees Centigrade.
Have rears too.

Now, are they worth the extra ££ over the standard brakes, as they need changing anyway, or are they just a gimmick??

Cheers

There was a thread on this recently and Mintex pads were discussed too. I'm sure either would be an improvement. I think the pads advertised are EBC which also produce less dust.

Some kind of upgraded pad is going to be better than the std ones for spirited driving. I noticed a small amount of brake fade once, but I was coming down the Stelvio Pass 2 up and full of luggage at the time so doing more braking than average. For the track uprated front pads are going to be a necessity.

I've decided to wait until spring to change my front pads - the car is hardly getting any use between now and then anyway due to work commitments (apart from the odd weekend blatt). Before anyone tells me I'm a wuss for not using my car, I did 6,500 miles in the first 6 months of ownership.
