Loving my Tamora...but

...you should check your muffler for damage due to fit of the rear licence plate. Mine had been fitted (crookedly) using metal screws tapped through the aluminum heat shield. At op temp the muffler expands (doh!) and there is an interference that has dented my muffler (2500 miles), but could cause much more damage!

I did what the dealer should have done in the first place and installed using 8mm "Raw Plugs" (avail @ FocusDIA) and 12mm screws (from specialty h/ware store). 300 miles and all seems fine.

Also, I had them set up a Tamora forum on the TVRCC web - before I was aware of PistonHeads!

I think we've all had this problem, attaching that numberplate is a typical TVR afterthought! Like your idea of using rawlplugs to stop it shaking loose, will try that.
I see you're fairly new to the site - welcome. Have you read some of the recent Tamora threads? some may interest you.....

Yes I am new. Thanks for the welcome. Been offline for a while with the chicken pox (caught from my lovely kids...now a TVR wouldn't do that to you would it! Of course it won't take care of you in your old age either!!), but am starting to navigate around the site now.

The Raw Plug fix is running fine after 1000 miles.
