hmm whats in that box? baffling, hmm de-baffle pipes should be coming soon then
I think Maddog was gonna put something together on the sound front, they do sound great, especially on the overun, sounds like an artillery barrage!!! lol
Yes I've had them fitted for five days now DO NOT BUY THEM.
They should come with a public health warning there to addictive. I've moved out of my house and into my car they are the dogs BKS
They sound just like this www.pistonheads.tv/video.asp?id=239&nr=1 but louder which really PS off the cerbie guys because we do not have to go through the hassle of removing the cats and then replacing them when its M.O.T time.

Hmmmm now where have I heard that sound before, are yes about three hours ago.
A few thoughts from another new sports exhaust owner...
I got back my Tamora with its new ACT exhaust on Saturday morning. After picking up the car, I headed 'straight home' via a great stretch of road near me that goes through two tunnels under the Manchester Airport runways. After you come out of the second tunnel, there is a small roundabout where you can just turn around and go straight back through again - what a giggle, and a few terrified members of the Cheshire Set who were passed in the tunnels on full gas (...safely and within the speed limit, of course). I must have got confused as I am sure that I went round that same roundabout several times before I got home.
Later on Saturday I gunned it up in a car park as a guy was getting out of his shiney new M3 a few yards away. Maybe the exta blip was for his benefit, but he came straight over, knocked on the window and just said 'Fantastic, Enjoy - Sounds a lot better than mine'. Good guy!
I have to say that I love the new exhaust note right across the rev range now, from idle right up to bedlam, whereas before I think that it did sound a little asthmatic (?) sometimes when pottering around. I was concerned that the sports exhaust might turn out to be a bit too hooligan for the neighbours but it feels to me like it is just on the the right side of acceptability (although I admit that I might have forgotten to tell them that I was getting it done and I have not tested their views on the change now it has been done).
And then, as others have pointed out, there is the overrun. After the first four days (two of which I have been away), I have worked out that the best way to drive down a straight piece of suburban road whilst averaging approx 30 mph is as follows:
Pull away, into 2nd year and accelerate up to 40 mph; lift off and slow down to 20; accelerate back up to 40; lift off and slow back down to 20; accelerate up to 40; lift off and slow back down to 20; accelerate up to 40...
I find that this method can get you where you want to be just as quickly as driving at a constant 30mph and I am sure it must be economical spending so much time off the gas. I have though been wondering why people seem to dive for cover in the bushes as I go past.
So overall, I think that the new exhaust is fantastic and it literally feels like I have a new car all over again. It is the best money I have spent in a long time and they should be compulsory on all S6's. Why is this not standard out of the factory? The downside, and the sole reason that I hope that I get over the initial excitement soon (or as others might say, 'Grow up'), is that I am freezing my nuts off driving with the windows down all the time, and let's face it, those two pathetic blowers that point up on to the windscreen are not a fat lot of good at keeping you warm unless the roof is on and everything else is closed.
If anyone can tell me how to post it, I am happy to record some video/audio footage.

That is so childish backing up traffic in the tunnel
to hear you own car. !!!!!!
Strange however that I find myself doing the very same thing at every opportunity myself???
Must be an infection thats going round
I went to Switzerland in 2002. There is a tunnel 26kms
long through one of the passes, my Griff with straight through pipes and my mate in his 355 with a tubi, awsome.
