Anyone know whre this is? I live in the sticks and FM reception is variable. I can pull in all stations quite well in my BMW but useless in the Tiv. Anyone know of a way of boosting aerial performance (have already upgraded the head unit to top-range Blaupunkt and checked aerial connection) ??
A lot of the interference is created by the car itself. All the spinning electrical components such as the alternator give off radio waves. As the body is GRP the radio is not shielded from these rogue waves.
Suppression capacitors are readily available and need to be bridge soldered across the terminals of various components.

If the Tamora set-up is like that in the Griffith you may want to look at www.mod-wise.com/ I have the radio booster fitted and it works very well, reception is about 95% as opposed to totally useless before! Rich...
