Just got this from my dealer (I'm waiting for a new oil sender if you remember):

We now have in stock a new batch of oil pressure senders.

We also have the speed sensor kit & a new suspension/handling modification to carry out.

So anyone know what the suspension/handling mod is? (I have asked the dealer, just waiting for them to reply).

Edited to add dealer reply:

The suspension mod is for the front ride height & involves raising the lower spring seat, the work takes about 1.5h.

Don't know if it's the same suspension mod as I had last year but if it is.... don't bother. I had it put back to stock a week later.

I'll find out how it will benefit me before I have it done and ensure that it is reversable. My car was built in May 2004 so I thought it was after the 'needed raising' era. I've never had an issue with the handling or the clearance and I've never asked the dealer to look into any mods, this 'offer' came out of the blue.

Hopefully get it done next week.

My dealer told me that the mod raises the front end by about 8 mm but gives the car more stability in normal road use. Will be interesting to hear your comparison once the mod is done. Mine is going in for the mod in a couple of weeks.

Had the mod done today. Now it could just be placebo effect, but the car feels less fidgety at Warp speed on a country road. Hit 135 leptons on the private test route home from Swindon and it felt fine. Mind you, it's never felt bad to me anyway.

Car doesn't appear to be any higher at the front (I can just get two fingers between the top of the tyre and the arch (skinny fingers).

Some poor bugger in a silver 3 series convertible decided to park backwards into the armco just before J8/9 Eastbound - car didn't look too damages, but the paramedics looked like they were sticking a collar on him/her - hope they're OK. Why am I saying this? Because all the firemen (2 crews) were looking at my car cruising past instead of seeing to the incident (anyone heading home Westbound on the M4 towrds Reading tonight will have a big delay too due to this incident).
