Having swayed towards Tuscan and driving both. I've decided that T350C it is. But a half hour test drive vs real life is difficult so, guys...

So my question is... real world now. Loved my Europe tour last year, is this realistic in the T350C? Im not talking breakdown which could happen in any motor. Im talking comfort, luggage space, just general doability over many many miles touring.

T350 would have aircon.

Please say yes please say yes please say yes

Sorry had to do that...

If you are considering a Tuscan, there are disadvantages and advantages for both cars, and I have had both. Looking back my Red Rose Tuscan, was top end faster, and you could get the roof off, however, when I go the roof of, I got a burnt head and ear ache at 100 mph, but apart from that it was great. I would say that I drove the Tuscan faster than the T350, but to be honest, I loved both cars. I took the Tuscan to France, and it wan no bother also, except, you can get some mighty fine speeds up on those roads on a sunday Morning...

Surely it must have the most luggage space of any TVR?

As for general ride, v similar to Tamora, so should be ok for a European tour - not sure if the nose is more prone to grounding than the Tam?

Ok.. I think Im getting a from you guys.

Tried Tamora, but at 6'2" my head was awfully close to the back of the hood. Its all a massive learning curve this but T350C just does it for me everytime.

Could not believe how different it felt to my old Chimaera, lovely stuff.

Just got my T350C on Monday and had to drive it the 300+ miles back to Aberdeen. All I can say is that it was one of the most memorable jaunts I've had. Apart from the excellence of the car (sure its noisy but in a good way) I was chased by a 205 that tried to keep up and all they wanted was to take a photo of the car, a petrol attendent in Edinburgh wanted to give me her phone number and after than I stopped for fuel at a forecourt with a new Maser quattroport and a new 911 and the only one that had everyone drueling was mine. Ha. Su-bloody-perb.

Note: It's a lot less fidgety than a Tuscan...

We did 2000 plus miles in our T350 last summer round Italy, Germany, Switzerland etc, it was 90 degrees plus in Italy, the aircon kept up admirably till that point but couldn't quite keep up in the extreme heat, but otherthan that it was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience and we were driving 8 hour days

I've done a couple of European jaunts in my T350 and I am of the view that though the cabin is 'relatively' refined and you can get loads on board it is let down by rubbish seats, far too little lateral support.
I end up uncomfortable having held the steering wheel too tight.

I did over 10k in my t350 abroad this year and found it much more drivable than the tuscan abroad, especially in germany, over 120mph, the tuscan becomes scary, the nose dives and the rear lifts when you lift of the throttle, where as the t350 stays very stable.
The t350 is still twitchy at speed but compared to the tuscan much more manageble, and less stressfull over long distances.
but in the end, chose the car you enjoy most, as in the end both are highly capable for the long trips, so which ever you chose im sure you will enjoy!

Well, there's a simple answer there.....

On a serious note, was that a standard Tuscan or the Tuscan S? I know the front splitter and rear spoiler are SUPPOSED to aid high speed stability on the S, but do they actually work (i.e. does anyone have personal experience of driving both variants at high speed)?

Get a T, although it's a compromise, I was surprisingly pleased at how much sun the panels let in.

That way, you get the handling of the 350 and the sunburnt head!

It was an normal not an S, talked to others who had S's and theses problems arise, but as i said, if you are using the car only occassionaly abroad, its not really a problem.

I'm 6' and fit in the T350c very comfortably now that I've got a half-height seat cushion. You can also take the cushion out completely for an extra bit of headroom. The seats hug you a bit more too when you do that.

I had the same problem with the Tamora, otherwise I'd have bought one I think. I'm 6ft 4 and a bit and need no/thinner cushion in a T350, fine then. BTW, you get a bit more room in the targa, but probably want to keep your head down when the roof panels are off (buffeting).
