Does anyone know where I can find a list of all colours, internal & external, available for TVR's.

There is no such thing.

The dealer will have a fairly comprehensive list of the TVR specific colours but you can spec any manufacturer colour you want.

The interior is a little easier and most dealers will have swatch books...

I’ve just borrowed 3 A4 folders of paint colour samples from my local Chipsaway franchise. They have a few thousand samples from lots of manufacturers and it’s taking hours to go through them all. When I get a shortlist together they’re going to mix a few up for me and spray some bigger samples to look at.

Might be worth having a chat with your nearest Chipsaway

TSS, are they charging you ?

Also, how do TVR know how much to charge you as an option for the paint ?

I take it this is for your Sagaris ? If so, have you heard whether or not the 19" alloys are going to be available or not ?

Hobo,

Chipsaway are lending me the folders for free. I did have some work done by them a while ago so they sort of know me. My franchise is very friendly and helpful – I don’t know if they’re all like that. I think they will me charge to do the bigger samples but it’s not likely to be much.

I think TVR are charging £365 for metallic paint on my Sagaris, quite a lot more for pearlescent (I think it was about £700 but I can’t remember) and even more for the special multicolour effects. I’m just going for metallic, as I really can’t stomach paying hundreds of pounds extra just for paint! Especially as Chipsway say it costs them the same to do pearlescent as it does to do metallic, so they don’t see why TVR charge so much extra. Does anybody know?

I’m told by my dealer that 19” wheels won’t be an option as they don’t fit properly.

Fluro's fade quite badly.

See old Dyno Rod vans.

To avoid this, you need a LOT of paint and its not cheap...

Good stuff Supersonic.

How about with the grey 18" spider alloys ?

Or even the motorshow 19" 5-spokes ?

Actually that's not true. You have to make sure you specify UV resistant lacquer, if you do this and look after them (i.e don't leave them out in bright sunshine all day, every day. Thin about it, most TVRs spend most of their time in a darkened garage) then they'll last 6 years or more.

The reason the Dynarod vans fade is that they scrimp on the job and use cheap (non-UV protective) lacquer as well as extended exposure to sunlight.

I've never seen a TVR in a true dayglo colour, personally I think a Sagaris in yellow/green dayglo would look stunning (but then I'm biased, see my profile)

cheers

paint prices are staggering, just bought half a litre of Reflex purple and even with a discount cost £310.
