Can't get Momo gearknob off!!! Help!!!
Discussion
I bought a new handbrake lever and gear knob (TVR standard ones, not the silly priced Leven ones)when I was at TVR Power. I have just changed the lever without hiccup, but the stupid Momo gear knob just does not want to know, it wont budge! There seems to be a collar near the botton, but there are no grub screws in the holes. I have tried brute force, careful knocking trying to prize it loose, but nothing!! Any Ideas?? The Momo knob now looks awful after my fumbling with it!!!

If its the standard gear Knob your trying to get off then turn the coller underneath clockwise first this will lower it then the gear knob will turn anticlockwise to release it. I used one of them kitchen thinges that open lids a strap through a handle a bit like a oil filter remover.

Thanks guys, for the tips. I don't think the Momo knob I'm trying to remove is standard, I can see the collar, and I can see the holes for the grubscrews, but there are no grubscrews in the holes! I did try turning the collar with hefty molegrips, but it still will not budge! I am just left with a gearknob looking much the worse for wear after my vain attempts at removing it, I am now worried about breaking the actual gearstick if I carry on! Why can't things be simple!! lol
