Which one would you go for???

I am 95% on the car i am due to pick up next friday.
t350t 53 reg , space blue, etc but i just got a call from penninsula about a 4ltr t350c 04 reg red rose (one of only 2 built with the tuscan S engine) the owner is willing to sell for £39,000. i can only imagine that it will be an absolute animal. any ideas or thought would be apprec'.

PS i prefer the targa and the colour ext/int of the one i am due to pick up. but would i enjoy the increased power of the 4.0 red rose........

What about buying 4.0l coupe and having retro targa roof fit back at factory.. would be cheaper than putting 4.0l engine into targa..
Anybody had this done..?

I would have the 4ltr. I think there is a thread on PH about this car if you need more info also.

The T350 tops out around 157 - 160. The Tuscan s tops out at 180+ Now, if I couls have a 180+ T350, I would have that one....

The T350c RR tops out around 167- 170 with 375 BHP...

But, this is all about top end... Drive the car see what you think

The standard t350 top out at over 170mph, i have had 175 on my gps and it was still going (last week in germany.... was a blast!!!!!) I have now sold it, and ordered a rr version, not so much for the extra power but for the added torque as the 3.6 lacks a bit, as you may find, when really driving it fast, you really have to be in the rev band to have good acceleration, so you get the feeling of ringing the neck out of the car always having to drop a gear.
Also, tuscan s engine in the t350 only gives around 390, not the 400bhp the last tusc s did. My dealer advised me that the rr is just as good as the tuscan s engined car. (by the way, the tuscan s engine upgrade was a 4k option! and thats ontop of the rr)
So basically what im saying, dont worry about the extra BHP, its the torque which is important and a 4.0 t350 would be a faster feeling car in my opinion.

there is £4000 difference in price i forgot to add. i just cant see it i prefer the colour of the t, its got a sports exhaust and anthracite wheels(i know its not much but it makes the car look luvllly). plus its £400 cheaper. is it a no brainer or ...........

How stable was it at 160?

I got 167 speedo (I know that is dead on to GPS upto 120) two up with a boot of luggage abroad. It was still going as well I just had to slow (considerably) for an overtaking lorry in the distance.

Personnaly I think you would get 175ish out of a standard if the road is long enough.

I did manage 167 in my old 350RR,on the 2 mile straight at a vmax day,however the car was getting very light front end wise,but it was still pulling....

Mines done 172, still pulling, but ran out of (foreign) motorway.

i think i will stick with the original plan and get the targa. i think the colour is amazing i would find it difficult to buy a diferent colour now. (Halycon space blue). thanks for the tips guys
