Well done and welcome to the fold.

Here's a list

1) Cars tailgating you to find out "what the hell is that" and not finding out
2) Passengers of said cars going past on motorways (as u pose) rubber necking for the same reason
3) Backseat children of said cars taking photos with their mobiles
4) Said children in packs at local shops nicking your TVR tyre valve caps as a souvenir (well, they got 3 of mine!)

Enjoy the attention!

Yep, you may as well take your valve caps off immediately and throw them away. I've lost two sets already and don't have any on at the moment.

By the way, CONGRATULATIONS, you will love the Speed 6 experience. In fact I think you will find it far more of a drivers car at ordinary speeds but absolutely WILD and FANTASTIC after 5,000rpm.

When you get the chance, please let us know all the differences you experience between the T350 and the Griff.

Oh yes, be careful in the wet - but then again, the Griff is probably just as lethal (if not more so!)

ENJOY!!!!

Welcome to the club. I honestly think you will love the speed 6. The power output is tremendous! I reckon you will get way more attention than in the griff!

Stunning colour, stunning car. Did you get it from Dream Machines? there was a reflex green one there last time I looked. Could you post some pics of it when you get it as I'm thinking of the colour for my sagaris if it ever arrives. Cheers.

I went from a Griff to a Tamora and the biggest things I noticed were:

- Less torque makes it less likely to bite in the wet
- Better balance and feedback means that if it does get out of shape it is much easier to feel it happening and pull it back together.
- The hood folds down far enough to be able to see out the back
- More BHP over a wider rev range makes it faster and more fun in the dry (and wet)
- Fewer admiring looks. I've puzzled over this because I do believe the Tamora and T350 are better looking cars (though I wouldn't expect to get much agreement from the Griff forum ). I think it's because the Griff's V8 rumble announces its arrival, turns heads, and generally contributes to more "presence". Nothing a sports exhaust on the Tamora wouldn't sort out .
- Much more driveable as an every day car with less cabin noise, more accessible power and handling that is both more fun and more forgiving.
- Elapsed time between oil top-ups measured in months rather than days.

I do miss some things about the Griff - the low down torque makes it feel faster off the mark (though it isn't), I could read the instrument display during daylight hours, and of course that V8 rumble!

Got the car from the remains of 'Street TVR' gotta say bloody nice blokes. Gave me what I wanted for Griff'. [was very nice one though] First impression after 4 years and 2 Griff 500's,,,,Bloody awesome! does it corner or what? Watched the ole griff being driven off and thought what have I done? the noise. [sports exhaust] But gotta say I think the S6 has a sound of it's own and i like it. Totally agree about what's been said of the noise of the Griff making heads turn first then people admiring the classic shape and I wish they still made it, but,,,,. When people [and I've only had a couple of days so maybe it's me] seem to see the T350, they seem to stretch their necks that bit further. As for power, or the feel of it, the T350 just seems to build and build. Doesn't feel instantly as fast but it is, and more. My 2000 Griff seemed a hell of a lot better than my '94. The 350? Well lets say so far I've no regrets in changing. In my opinion [and don't get me wrong, I love Griffs and would have another] the 350 looks better, goes better, feels better and stops.
So far at least, a happy bloke.
I will post a piccy asap. and cheers for the comments it does help.

I think the T350 is a more immediately striking car than the Tamora, but the Tamora is a grower.

I agree and it is not just because I am a Tamora owner. Despite the fact that I am told there are similar numbers of Tamora's, 350 v 400 I have actually only seen 3 others in 6 months. Compared to the T350, which appears to be more common when I am driving around. Or perhaps the hardtop makes people more inclined to just go out!

That's why I went for the T350. I looked at the Tamora because I like the idea of a soft top, but I also wanted to be sure that the car was used all year round, in all weathers. I owned an old MGB previously and that would only come out after I checked the weather forecast.

However, I still miss top-down motoring even on a cold winter's day even if my frozen ears don't!

I love both cars, and agree about the fact that the T350 is more instantly desirable than the Tamora which does indeed grow on you. I would have bought a Tamora if the headroom wasn't so cramped. I just couldn't get comfy in a test drive so plumped for the T350 Targa instead. They're both grrreeaat.

You are now "public property". Every tw@t in creation will want to talk to you about the car, photo it, video it (on a motorway would you believe!!) look inside and you'll have to answer the same questions over and over again. You'll get stared at when you're driving it, parking it and filling it with fuel. Pedestrians will knock on the window for a chat.....at traffic lights!!! Kids will shout "nice car mate" every time they see you. Chavs in LaxPowers will overtake you, slow down, let you overtake them, then re-take you again.

It will start off as a novelty, then after about 12 months it will get on your t**s. You'll stop making eye contact in petrol stations, supermarkets and at traffic lights. It'll be a bit like being famous but without the money. Funny thing though, I never had this with the Chim, Griff or Tusc.

Apart from that it's a brilliant car but I'm due for a change in Feb and, when it's gone, it's the ONLY thing I won't miss about the car.

Enjoy!

I can relate to all of the above. I dont really tire of it, just the constant lets "have a race". I normally have the last laugh and dont bother just let them tear down the street and get nicked!
