Trackers - what's the difference?
Discussion
Don't know about the Tracker device but it may be worth you calling a few brokers for insurance.
Some of them don't insist on a tracker as long as you are garaging your car overnight.
There is an argument I suppose for having a tracker fitted anyway but for Insurance purposes it's not always necessary.
The TVRCC insurance deal I know, doesn't require a tracker provided you're garaging it. I spoke to the Insurance people directly when I was insuring mine.

I had a Trackstar Plus fitted to our Subaru. Never ever ever will I buy another one. Indeed when we picked up our new Boxster we chose something different.
The Trackstar Plus from experience and in my opinion was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent in my life.
As you know it has a speed safe option fitted. I got fed up of phoning them to complain about that function not working and having an engineer out to look at the problem. It didn't inspire confidence in the product and you spent more time wondering if the actual tracking device was working. We asked for a trace on a number of occassions and when it was parked outside they couldn't trace it and had to get an engineer to find it.
