sagaris news anyone?

I know what you mean! I asked a dealer on Saturday and he thought March was likely. Still, the replacement loan car is due to arrive in late November, mind you that seems to have gone mysteriously quiet too. Funny that.
Providing there aren't any unpleasant and unnecessary styling tweeks the car can only be getting better than the cars we would have ended up with by now.
I like the 500 only gag! Great marketing. Porsche have only sold 1500 996 turbos in the UK and you know how many of those that seem to be around! 500 my arse! They'll be doing well to sell 200!

The 500 is to get round the new laws to come into effect which will state that every mainstream car manufacture will need to fit ABS and Airbags as standard. I think this comes into effect from the latter part of 05 (there is a thead about it somewhere on PH)
Anyhow, 500 of one model is the limit or the car becomes mainstream, and the above had to be fitted. I think an SVA is used to get round the 'new laws'

I'd never even thought of it like that! shows my ignorance really! DO you know how many cars TVR sell in a year at all, and i'm guessing most would be tuscans...?
TVR currently sell about 1000 cars a year which they are looking to double to 2000. The T350 seems to have been pretty popular since its launch, so I would guess that along with the tuscan they take the main percentage.

when i asked my tvr dealer in Henley they told me its never going to be made!!!
They said Mr Russian didn`t like it so scrapped the idea!
HOW CRAZY is that!!!
Then what happens to all the deposits that people have put down on these cars??? Do we all get them back??
I recon there will be a few changes to the car, but not scrapped!
Latest news that I have is that when my local dealer smiled and took my Sagaris deposit last week he said delivery would be in 9 months (end of July) - rather like a pregnancy - but didn't mention that the car might not be produced as hinted in earlier posts. But then why would he?
They've also apparently been promised by TVR that they'll have a demonstrator in December.

There is no doubt whatsoever that the Sagaris will be built, and i think while they sort out the QT on the remaining cars in production, the Sagaris will be worth it. Think you'll be getting a cheaper car as well with the prices set to rise with all the new staff to cover.
But as i said,IMO deffinately worth the wait if your going to get a better made car

So long as they don't alter the body I don't care how long it takes to get one!
I agree that the price is likely to rise quite imminently which is why I ordered now instead of early next year. On the other hand, what a great ruse to flush out lots of orders - just tell everyone that the price is going up!

Harrogate dealer.
I've had the same concerns as you regarding the clearance of the front spoiler but I think the pictures from the TVR website of the Sagaris are much closer to the ground than other pics I've seen of the car. Obviously it's got more of a wow factor being so close to the ground but it'd never cope with speedbumps - not like the ones round here anyway!
