Apologies for this being a silly question, but how does this limited 500 production run idea that TVR now have impact on the T350? I have no idea how many they have sold already - is it going to be 500 then stop?

Its definitely 500 tops.

On the press release it was 100 left - so probably less than that now!!

Whats people's opinions on what it will do to residuals over the next 12/18 months?

Indeed - 70 or so left, so going quickly now it seems.

I'd also be very interested to hear what peeps think about the effect on residuals, anyone?

Dunno about residuals - we'll have to wait and see. Most cars for sale secondhand seem to hang around for a while unless they're rudely cheap. Look at a lot of dealers' T350 stock, then look again in a few months time and you'll see what I mean. There are some cars I was considering buying in May which are still for sale now.

Do you really think it will be binned and a whole new model brought in to replace it or is it more likely that it will be replaced by the T400C (or T395C if that is what the RR gives)?? It would be an extremely expensive exercise to start from the drawing board after each 500 cars

About this 500 production thing, does this mean 500 of each T350c and T350t or is it a combination of both models up to a total 500?

If it's a combined total it would be interesting to know the split of each model.

That's my thinking. A new model with the 4l engine or with bodywork half way between the T350c and the Sagaris.

It's a combined total of C's & T's.

I'll see if anyone knows about the split.

If it's only a face-lift, then perhaps residuals won't be so great on older models 'cos most people will want the latest bits and bobs. I hope I am wrong!! Any ideas?

The 500 limit is partly to avoid getting those pesky people from vehicle investigations and safety involved. Under 500 production gets a special license and more lenient rules.

Have a look at, for example, the Tamora chassis rear of the engine passenger side (oh, obviously take the engine out first). There are some interseting modifications there due to the size of the block which to my mind (or at least when pointed out to me) were a bit dubious.

Strong as it is I wouldn't want to be a passenger in a Tamora involved in a front end crash.

Making 500 only of a car means you are not getting the same rigorous testing and approval.

Ok you are worrying me! Perhaps you can explain it with this photo. Its the chassis for a Tuscan Tamora and T350, they all use the same chassis. Are you saying they cut it?

That's a rear view - you need to look at the chassis from the front.

I'm not scaremongering here, but having seen a Tam chassis with the engine out there is a subtle difference in the construction driver/passenger sides.

It *may* just have been the Tam I saw, but seems unlikely. The exact car was my ex's that was on and off the road (more off than on).

A well respected independent pointed it out to me. It was his observation related to me.

I love the big junk cart at the back of the shot with 'chassis' written on the side. Must be a Griffith or Chimaera chassis ...

BTW - are the seats in our new models still only bolted through the GRP? I've never looked to be honest and it is something which concerned me with my Chimaera.

No, are now bolted onto transverse chassis members for extra security
