Looking to replace my brake pads, as the car has done 8,000 on originals & with next Vmax coming up, thought it may be a good idea.

I have heard good things about EBC Greenstuff & also EBC's new Redstuff Ceramic, but know that these are not what TVR advise, and therefore just wondered if anyone else had used these or others.

Mintex and Ferodo DS2500 are my favourites. EBCs get a good report on S Series TVRs, but not on Chimaeras/Griffiths. If you asked me to guess I'd say EBCs are not right for the T350/Tamora. As we know the brakes are a little underservoed (i.e. you need to give them a good shove to stop quickly). EBCs require a lot of effort to give any effect when cold. They're great once warmed up ... but that's not when granny steps out in front of you at the end of your street.

I asked Joolz about pads for the T350 and he didn't think there was much around aftermarket. However, look down the threads as someone mentioned that the same calipers/pads are usesd on the Leon Cupra R and one of the Clio Sports.

Let us know how you get on.

T/.

Spot on. Tried EBC Green & Red, DS3000 and DS2500 on my Griff-engined Ginetta (used for road and frequent hills/sprints) and a friend has gone through same on his similar-use highly tuned Griff.

In our experience the DS range is far superior to EBC 'stuff'! Better instant bite from cold/warm AND higher co-efficient of friction when hot. DS3000 was good but TOO grippy - wheels locked under very light pressure on this weight of car, even in non-servo Ginetta; DS2500 compound has proved perfect for road and track this year.

DOOKIE fitted some from a Cupra R. I asked him for a part number on the post and even emailed him off line but I've had no reply.

Anybody have a make and part number?

How about calling one of the boy racer suppliers for some? Maybe one of the VAG tuners who do stuff for the Leon? (AMD spring to mind).
