I've had details sent through from Silverstone TVR about a special
Silverstone Edition of the T350.

There are various packages for new build cars and also retro fit upgrades
that can be added and full details are now on www.t350r.co.uk

I believe they also have plans for a similar package for the Tamora.

Should help a few people out based on recent threads.

Was talking to Mat at Silverstone about their special Tamora the other day, from what I recall he said it would have:

- Red rose upgrade to engine, brakes, exhaust
- Black paint, with stainless exhaust guard instead of black
- Different headlamps, something like the Tuscan clusters I think

I'll be interested to see the headlamps particularly as for me it's the only part of the Tamora styling that looks dated.

All they are offering is the Factory T350 Red Rose conversion and close ratio gearbox? Any main dealer can offer this.

Quite a bit more on offer than just the RR and CRG and more to come they tell me.

So why don't they then? Most dealers I have spoken to don't seem to know anything about Red Rose! Good on Silverstone for being pro-active (shame about the GP though )

Dunno why (some of) the dealers don't know about it - I do! (Oh dear, I guess this must mean I am a TVR nerd.)

With the exception of some decals, all that is being offered is on the TVR price list.

Well not having access to the price list, I'd not seen these in a package before?

· Silverstone handling kit
· Lightweight 18" wheels
· Xenon headlight conversion

Either way, having been looking over all the pages in this forum, with the amount
of people that seem to ask about where and who does the RR upgrade etc etc,
it seems a helpful move and a nice all round package from Silverstone TVR to me.

I take your point about "people asking where and who does the RR upgrade etc", but shouldn't they be asking their local dealer, who should know. And if that dealer doesn't know, perhaps that suggests ...... well I'm not clever enough to know what it suggests actually.

The Red Rose comes with revised suspension, 18" alloys and TVR sell gas discharge headlights. If somebodyelse are doing their own suspension and different alloys and lights, I genuinely wish them well.

Hi James

I understand the wheels are to be a new design as is the suspension package.

Naturally they are quite local to me, but they seem to have a breath of fresh
air about them.

I've run the Cerbera register for 18 months and not one dealer has contacted
me with news. Lots of great indie information comes through, but nowt from dealers previously.

Having visited a few, I can understand why, but as mentioned by someone else,
all credit to Silverstone for being so pro active.

I'm tempted...

I don't blame you being tempted or think you'll regret changing. The T350 is the best TVR I've owned.

I don't see why Xenon headlights would be needed. The standard headlights are very good anyway. If you want to drive even faster at night then you're being dangerous IMO.

Obviously you are entitled to your opinion, however try a Tuscan S at night, Xenon main beam headlights are standard equipment and make an amazing difference IMO and as they improve night time vision then surely they are a safety feature?
We feel they are a worthwhile improvement over the cars standard equipment hence our decision to offer them as part of an upgrade package. Also most serious performance cars have Xenon headlights as standard or as an option, so should the T350.

Not if you have one behind you, pain in the looks like their indicators are on.

Anyone who wants to allow people more choice and personalisation of cars is certainly on my visiting list. Especially when it is in carbon fibre.

I will be collecting my Tamora from Silverstone later this week and will have to keep well clear of their Tamora light conversion for the safety of my Switch card.

Having chatted with the lads down at Silverstone while buying my Tamora, they certainly have some really innovative ideas and a refreshing approach. Would be more than happy to recommend them to anyone after the way they have dealt with me

Hi Silverstone.

I wasn't trying to get at you and understand the benefits of Xenons - just expressing an opinion as you stated.

We have an Audi TT in our stable and it has Xenons which give great nighttime visibility. Unless you're coming the other way. I personally (my opinion etc.) think they're dangerous to other road users. I wouldn't pay extra for them and we only have them as they are std on a 225HP TT.

Accel in Luxembourg will start doing the same. I got my car at Gatwick TVR, because Accel had no stock at the time, but they will essentially upgrade suspension, brakes, engine and more. The guy in charge for that it is Francis Schammo, manager of the Seikel Racing team (winner at Le Mans). The managing guy is André Schroeder. I have had my car's ECU retuned alongside a couple of other small things, and it is NOTICEABLY better. I have Tuscan S engine in my T350. T
