Just a quick post to say thanks to everyone for helping me buy my Tamora - after two months of research - picked it up on Saturday and been driving it ever since. Unfortunately I have to fly to the US tomorrow for work and have the agony of leaving it behind!! Out to get milk - gone two hours!!! Thanks again.. What a car....love it..

CONGRATULATIONS! Hope you enjoy your Tam as much as I enjoy mine (picked it up on Saturday after it's 1,000 mile service and it's running like a dream... gets better - and faster - every day!)

Congratulations.

I know it's hard to be parted - I flew out to NYC last night and I'm missing the TVR already. Even if it's just a glimpse of it in the morning as I get in my other car to go to work ... sigh.

Mind you, the drivers in New York are complete tw@s. Plus, why is it the taxi drivers never speak English or know where they are going? I had an Indian guy last night so you'd expect the language to be OK ... but oh no. Also, he didn't know Lexington Avenue until I said Park Avenue and changed my destination when we were close ... grrr.

Congratulations. Welcome to the exclusive club. I must say been away a week with another 2 weeks to go. Feel like a limb is missing! Always get this when I am away from the car, sad I know.

What a lot of love on this thread - its great!

Drove my Tamora for the first time in about a month last night (again, been away with work). I still get such a buzz from it. Without doubt the best car I've ever owned.

Congrats Jasper!

Thanks... now sitting in the US miles away, agony. I had a great time driving it for the first 24hrs - it's such a different car to anything I've driven before. I know it will take a while to get used to - but damn I'll have some fun doing that. Had a moment coming off a roundabout in slightly damp conditions.. must remember it has no traction control !! Mental note - only toy with its limits in dry conditions and even then only gradually !!

Chris, I went for the one at Dream Machines in the end.. must say they were excellent I would recommend them. It is Halcyon Atlantis blue, kind of dark blue with a hint of dark green when the light hits it.. also had air con which I kind of wanted.. Have a few upgrades for the future including, stereo, 16" to 18" and red rose/blue print. Also thought about getting two - so if something goes wrong with one I have a backup (not sure the wife will go for that !!).

Well only 96 hours to go...must remember to sleep before I drive it when I get home !!!!

Thanks again everyone..

Hi Jasper - I also bought mine from Dream Machines recently, really struggled to choose between yours and mine - yours had a/c, mine had 18" wheels - in the end agreed with them to fit a/c on my motor.

I also had a recent damp roundabout moment - think it is part of the ownership!

That was a good idea with a/c...yours must have gone before I first went to see mine, they have one left now.. again nice looking. Will post soon to get everyones ideas on how best to upgrade to 18" wheels or ever 19" !!!

I actually read your original post a few weeks back, I should learn to absorb some of this good advice..I really will be more careful next time -but I think your right.. part of the ownership.
