You don't really expect any TVR owner on this forum to tell you to buy a BMW do you?

Don't be a poof, buy a TVR!

I'd reckon on a Cerbera.

If you're down this way on Monday do you want to call in and see it?

Give me a call or drop me an email.

They are both great cars, without a shadow of a doubt, I guess it depends on what you like, and what you want to get out of a car. The bottom line is that you have to treat any high performance rear wheel driven car with respect, especially in the wet where road feel and attentivness must be 100%, but, once you get use to it, it is a doddle, and I am sure you will derive a lot more satisfaction from a T350 from a driving experience point of view

Gone from a 4.5ltr Chimaera to a Lotus Elise to an M3. Also driven a couple of T350 on test drives.

So my 2P's worth would be...

The Chimaera made me smile every time I drove it. Never any problems in 30 months of ownership.

The Lotus was great round corners, but sooooo slow on the straights.

The M3 is fantastic round corners and in a straight line. I'd say the same speed as the Chimaera. The power is very linear and doesn't give you the kick in the back like the Chimp does or any of the V8 TVRs. Doesn't feel like a sports car for about 90% of driving conditions. It does when you floor it though. Also has all the benefits of a 4 seater etc. Electric hood is fantastic.
But, the M3 engine has just had a recall on pre-2003 engine due to engine failure. See bm3w.co.uk for more info.

The T350 felt like a sports car. The power again felt fairly linear compared to the V8 models.
Love the looks, would have bought one and the wife thinks that now we probably should have instead of the M3.

It will all come down to what you want from the car and if you need occasionally to put in a lot of luggage etc. Sometimes the extra seats make a big difference.

When we bought the M3, spoke to a Cerb owner who was trading in his Cerb and Saron for an M3 because basically it does everything in just the one car.

A big decision, but you can't really lose in view. Both are great cars, just have a different focus and way of doing things.
