Great trip, but some advice please!
Discussion
Just come back from two weeks in France and 1300 miles in the Tamora.
Everything car related was excellent. Tam performed brilliantly and with now 10k + miles up, it seems to be getting better and better. The French loved it too, and it got tons of attention whenever we parked it, particularly at the Circuit des Remparts in Angouleme - well worth a visit if anyone is down that way.
We had a wide range of weather from 40 deg heat to a truly epic thunderstorm - even this could not throw the car off its stride.
On the driver side, it was not quite so good...I kerbed the near side front wheel whilst drawing up to a peage just outdie Nantes. I was livid. Nobody's fault other than my own (perhaps that why I was livid - no one else to blame..!).
Can anyone recommend (and give a rough idea of cost if you can) a decent company that repairs alloys?
Cheers all.
One final point - as I was pulling up outside a restaurant, an English guy who had been watching cam over and asked what engine was in it. Upon receipt of this information, he then proceeded to tell me how it was unreliable - thanks mate!

what a prick, did you knock him out?
Tempting Whitey - I was still griping about it to my girlfriend when the main course arrived!
I think such comments are a case of water of a duck's back for Speed 6 owners. Loads of people (justified or otherwise) will come and tell you that your engine is about to go pop whether they are experts or not. This guy was well meaning enough, but he fell into the latter category.
I hope this doesn't open up an engine debate - I noticed the mother and father of Speed 6 debate that took place while I was away on the Tuscan Forum...

Patsy,
Try this company:
www.prestigewheels.co.uk
Some of the local North West dealers (ie. Chris Neil's) use them for sorting the alloys of their TVR's.
Unhelpfully, there's no number on the website and I can't quite make out the number on the picture of the van (you'll see what I mean).
Chris Neils should be able to give you the number.

I can highly recommend Prestige wheels who are now an agent for Wicked wheels. They repaired and repainted the wheels on my renault clio williams about a year ago and made an excellent job. They are based in Buxton tel number 07970 622933.
