Ok, we have one, anyone else?

I am wondering about an exhaust upgrade. I hear tvr power do an upgrade that changes the standard back box to match the larger bore tubes that come out of a red rose engine. Anyone done this?

The tamora register by the way is almost ready! Will post details shortly.

Regards

Simon

I want one......

I've always said that a RR Tamora would be a fantastic car. Now, where do I sign to get one.....?

How about every press Tamora ever built? If anyone bought an ex-press car then I suspect it's not standard ...

they are lovely!

I declined the lighter body as I did not want the saving of 40kg, so we cut a deal, certainly worth talking to a dealer if you ever want this. So we have conventional body, red rose engine, red rose brakes, red rose exhaust.

aaaaaaaaaargh.... I said I'd never buy a TVR brand new, now I find myself with calculator in hand trying to convince myself that depreciation shouldn't be a consideration.

Maddog, you are a VERY bad man

Well with free aircon, pearl paint and 18inch wheels as standard now, I think you could argue you a RR package is the natural offset on the savings you now get on the standard car!

Shoosh, don't tell me things like that.

So just how much is it going to cost to get a new RR Tamora?

, is it your wedding???
I probably won't do anything until next year now (apart, of course for the Sports exhaust and some Wicked Wheels magic , hurry up Nub!! )

Have to admit, with the new pricing, I would have been very tempted to get a new one if it were a few months down the line, and now it appears that Tam prices 2nd hand are now stable (AutoTrader site shows cheapest Tam at just under 28K!), So thus far, it looks like good news for us Tam/350 owners

More confirmation as to why the unwedded life now is the life for me!!! Actually I am divorced so I can not really laugh, too loudly, but it was 10 years ago and pre-sports car days!

I know what you mean about spending money. I seam to spend mine on car care products!

Before the thread goes off at a tangent , can anyone confirm what it actually costs to have an RR conversion done to a standard Tamora (ie. a July '02 model)???

Results in 390 bhp doesn't it?

I am waiting to hear of a price from TVR Power at the mo,,,, the BHP figure is 'roughly' 375BHP, not 390-400BHP, presumably because the engine's a 3.6, and not 4 litre.
TVR Power do a 3.6-4 litre conversion and after that you can have the 4 litre RR upgrade, bringing the power up to 390-400, but the costs are quite stratospheric, and you would (almost) be able to buy a brand new one with the RR upgrades for around the same price (taking into consideration trade in value)
The engine blueprint sounds like a good way forward though

Talking about sports exhausts/exhaust upgrades, I bought a new back box from JP exhausts in Macclesfield recently and it is probably the best purchase I've made, other than the Tuscan and the T350.
Noise is a bit louder and deeper at low cruising revs but put your foot down and it sounds like a mental V8, with loads of pops and kicks.
Simple to fit and they make a Tamora version.
I've heard a few T350 sports exhausts and this is both the best and the cheapest.
Car even feels quicker, could be in the mind, however who cares!
