My Tamora has a lot of wind noise around the drivers side window/mirror. As other Tamora owners have probably already spotted the window on this side does not fit flush to the windscreen surround and there ia on my car a ca. 7mm gap all the way down. I have seen three other Tamoras and they were all like this. It fits at the hood interface at the back and just about reaches the top seal to the roof.
The passenger side window fits perfectly everywhere.
My dealer has no explanation for this.
Having very quickly measured the size of driver/passenger window they appear to be the same and the problem may be partly down to the drivers window simply not going up enough. The seal at the top on the passenger side is much tighter than on the driver side.
Can this be adjusted or is there some other reason for this discrepancy?

I have 18 inch wheels- what should the tyre pressures be?. The dealer returned it from 1000 mile service with 24psi all round

hi. had EXACTLY the same problem. dealer (walldonway in kent - brill) adjusted the drivers window angle to fit closer. sorted most of the gap apart fron a small hole at the base near the mirror - used self adhesive window seal strip in black for that. Now no wind noise till 70mph+. Also been asking for ages what the 18in tyre pressures should be. Anyone out there??

All the Tamoras I've seen (mine + 3 others) have been a bit dodgy around the drivers window - passenger side always seems spot on. The dealership sorted mine as well at the 1000 mile service - the only 'problem' was wind noise, it never let in water (despite not looking up to much). I still have a little gap at the bottom corner near the wing mirror.

As for tyre pressures, I have the 16" wheels, so no help.

Cheers.

Guys, Ive developed the problem that flasher had with his passenger side window - it opens when the alarm is cancelled, and closes when the alarm is on, but doesn't respond to the dash buttons. Any ideas? The buttions are not stuck, as far as I can tell.

Hmma, it seems to have sorted itself out. I took the alloy switch carrier out, played gently with the PCB behind it, stuck it back in my pocket, went out of the garage to phone HHC to get a new switch unit, and went bak to the car and it all worked! Despite the fact that I hadn't put the unit back in, the door switch worked, and so did everything else when I plugged the switches back in! Huh?! the only vaguely sensible thing I did was slightly loosen the nuts holding the PCB - in case it was slightly warped, causing a malfunction.

TVR's - don't you just love 'em?! C'MON ENGLAND!!!!!!
