Could anyone kindly tell me what changes have already taken place with the T350 range?

I gather the original cars didn't have the boot cover, seats rubbed on the roof
and the original design had a side hinged rear window?

Anything else?

Thanks in advance.

The early cars didn't have the indent on the bodywork to be able to get your fingers in to open the back either.

There were, I understand, some changes to the underside at the front to improve ground clearance.

Hello, does anyone know on the forum what key changes have been made over the life of the Tamora and when approx they were made. Although was looking at older 2001/2002 models, might now start considering 2003/2004 models... thanks again.

Main difference is to the front lights which was introduced in the 2002 Motor Show. But that's not to say that some early 2003 cars don't have the original front lights.....

The last changes made were the glove box lid improved, sunvisors were introduced, a rear luggage cover added, the petrol filler was changed to make filling easier and the chrome surround on the filler entrance screwed on instead of glued.

I had all these items retrofitted and all are improvements but the sunvisors were not cheap being in leather and quite a big job apparently.

We had an early car, I think it was about 20th off the line. Very low at the front, too low really for everyday driveability, but they have changed it since. We since had a new fuel filler system put in, a luggage cover retro fitted and the scoop in the bodywork put in when it went in for a respray. It is now residing at Chris Neils waiting to be sold on

- the new "wings" on the top of the seats (as seen at the MS2003) have been binned due to hindering access. Supposedly the increased support has made its way to the new cars though.

- speakers are now also changed. NXTs are in the front as standard with a single clarion bass speaker in the rear. This is all standard and i believe the "upgrade" has been dropped - unless you special order of course..

- Tyres are now Eagle F1s.

- slight reangle of the dash on newer models i believe

Mrs Fish, the original test car and exhibition car(s) had a side-hinged window, but because of wear it was ditched in place of those gorgeous top hinges. I drove an early version so I can attest to the side edge of the head restraint rubbing on the roof if you pushed the seat right back. Leather against leather squeaks over bumps. I loved the car, hated the cut-off rear end. Are you missing yours?

ONLY the show cars and the development rigs ever had the side hinged rear screen. NONE of the production customer cars were delivered in that state. It had nothing to do with wear, but was ditched in order to negate pssible stress fractures in the glass caused by the weight of the screen and the two load points i.e. the bolt fixtures. Top fixtures and hinges induce less stress therefore the current design was adopted for production.

the bottom of the front was scooped out to give improved clearance.
Sun visors have been added.
The fuel filler surround is now riveted.
The digital displays will have different version numbers
The screenwash bottle has moved around several times due to heat problems and is either off to one side or in the centre, easily visible through the gap in the front of the bonnet.

There is also a cooling mod - header tank mounted on the inner wing. It is very recent and being offered as a retro fit, not sure if its found its way to the latest cars yet.

What's the difference between horizontal and flat?

All part of the R&D process in a search for the best way to keep the temps down.

The current config. has fans on top drawing air through the radiators from below; one of the changes between early low-noses and the current bodyshells routes air towards the radiator.

Thanks for all the replies.

Currently scanning the 80 previous pages (yes really!) I see some of these
were original problems.

IE The fuel filler surround is now riveted.
Are people still getting splash back from the tank though or was that sorted?

Several people made reference to 'issues' that would not be named at the time
as they were being attended to by the factory.

Flasher was one of these. Eighteen months on, can you now say what these 'issues' were?

Nice to have a constructive thread of changes for once rather than see the usual
padlock calling side swipes.

That'll be the kiss of death on this thread then...

I believe only 500 t350 models are to be made and the last few will have gold badges.

I have the new fuel filler on mine and have no problems at all...

However, I do recomend ignoring the handbook on this item - Insert the nozzel all the way, and point it to between 10 and 11 O'clock.... Dont know about other people, but it works for me!!
