Just taken a few (not very good) pics of my new satnav, it was pouring with rain so I had to take then in the garage, so they're not too good
All seems fine except I don't seem to be getting voice guidance speech coming through the speakers, (plays CDs, DVD, radio OK, but not the voice, but I don't know if I should be moving when that comes on!!!

Wow! Looks really cool. I'm was thinking of the exact same system to go in my Sagaris, if it ever arrives! Given it shares the same interior that gives me an accurate idea of what it'll look like. Very cool is the answer. But what's the pod on the windscreen it's attached to? Is that part of the satnav or some road angel type device? And does it wobble when you drive over bumps?

Cheers , have just spent the whole afternoon in the garage faffing with it! lol,,, The 'pod' on the windscreen is Road Angel 2, and it's great! It does wobble about at all, even better now I got the people who installed the satnav to also hardwire the cable for it

If it's nice tomorrow, I'll take some decent pics, outside of the garage!

On top of getting to play with it all day (satnav ), I had my throttle pots replaced with new ones, and no more hesitation when accelerating!! , happy man today

Looks great.

Is there any way to angle the screen more towards the driver, or is it the just that the photos distort the angle it's at.

Now all I need is a spare £1,500.

The screen can be seen just fine, it can be moved up or down at any incriment, but not sideways, however, because the unit pod for the Tam/ T350 is positioned more towards the driver, it isn't a prob at all, my camera was playing all kinds of odd tricks in the garage!! The hidaway box has been fixed in place in the area just above the passenger footwell, seems very secure.

Do you have front speakers fitted? as when I was looking into geting one of these I belive the spec said that the voice only comes through the front speakers.

Looks very neat I just wish they did them in a alloy finish as the black would not suit the interior of my Tuscan.

Cheers .... Do you think it would work if I connected the front speaker wires to the rear speakers? Would that work?

That looks really good. Wish I'd got me one o' those, but, so far, I'm quite pleased (pleasantly surprised) with the TomTomGo. What I REALLY NEEEEED however is some decent speakers and tweaters etc. Just so fed up of not being able to enjoy my music.

Changing the speakers is very easy KK, even I did that , I simply bought a much better set from Halfords (probably much cheaper on the net though), and took the old ones out, binned them, and put new ones in. I almost went for a Tom-Tom Go unit, but in the end, I thought my dash would look like pod city with the Road Angel too.

Took the Tam back to the car audio dealers (well, chan did!), and they changed the connections so that the rear speakers are now now connected to the front! I can now hear the woman giving me directions fine
Only prob is, the CDs don't sound so great.
Now, do I need tweeters or speakers for the front, and change the connections over to their proper leads? What is the difference between a tweeter and a speaker, btw??

I'm not an expert so here goes.

Tweeters do the high pitch stuff 20K+ Hz?
Woofers do the low stuff <50Hz?
Midrangers - do what they say...
General everyday speakers try to do all the range hence not vary good at it... (IMHO)

You do need crossovers for the tweeters as you will damage them (as I know to my own cost).
