In the lower panels - there are a pair of what look like around 3 inch speakers nicely fitted into the leather. Anyone else noticed this? If so, what make were they? The only small ones I can find (which aren't tweeters) are custom replacement speakers from JBL and hence don't have grilles which would be needed.

Standard fit on all new TVR's.
By a company called NXT, they are combined with a single rear speaker for the base tones.

For a standard TVR stereo I've got to say they sound pretty good.

Thanks.

Hmm, will email my dealer about buying some (can't seem to get them anywhere through an online search).

I will do a search through our parts dept, but they have only turned up on 2 cars so far and I don't think they are an upgrade through TVR.

Will update tomorrow with latest.

J,

I was told mine will be coming with the NXTs in the front and standard pioneer jobbies in the rear?

Thats right Steve, but rather than the 2 rear speakers they have decided on one big one. The acoustic's work really well.

Hi,
I picked up my T350T RR in June 2004 and it has the NXT front speakers and two JBLs I think at the rear.
All fitted in the factory.
Pioneer 7600 MP3 player also direct from the factory.
The sound is not too bad for a TVR!!
Still prefer the exhaust/engine music though!

I could see how the acoustics would work with a bass-orientated speaker in the back and the NXT mids/tweeters up front - do you know what speaker it is - Pioneer? - and how big?

If they are putting an off the shelf Pioneer midrange speaker in, i'd hope it'd be fairly sizeable otherwise it wouldn't carry very far. If it is a mono bass affair in the rear, a round speaker would be better - an 8in or 10in round speaker would work well to support the fronts. Can you let me know J? I'll be speaking to Alan about the headunit tomorrow anyway.

Thanks

Steve, guess what's going to be turning up here today on the back of a transporter?
