As title, do our 3.6 engined cars have to be a 4 litre before having Red Rose spec treatment to the engine? I was wondering because I don't want my engine bored out to 4 litres (insurance reasons), but it would be nice to think that in the future, I could upgrade the car to RR spec.
Does anyone know exactly what is RR spec anyway??

Cheers

Chris

That sounds cool Maddog, I wonder if TVR Power would accomodate me in the future!
What does the RR spec include Maddog? (am sure you've answered before, but can't find the thread!) it would be nice to have a RR emblem on the back of the Tam once it's been resprayed
In the meantime,,,,, I am having the Avic X1 satnav unit installed in my Tam as we speak, including hard wireing of the Road Angel 2 lead, and the tweaters installed too

Sorry i forgot to send the picture of the tweeters! Red Rose for me was engine power increase, Tuscan S brakes and large bore exhaust pipes that go into standard exhaust box. I specifically asked to keep the standard body as I did not want to loose the 40kgs in weight (its a stability thing).

Personally I dont want to have a Red Rose badge as I like the fact that no one knows! Of course if you start it up next to a standard Tam you can notice is straight away!

Cheers Maddog . I have the tweeters installed now, sounds a lot better!
I don't think no-one outside of the 'TVR circle' would know what a RR was, or what it signifies. The RR engine upgrade sounds like something I will most definately persue in the future, plus I think that would quash any worries I harbour about my car's life before me, (Didn't get used at all for a year!)
