I was up at Castle yesterday, and Ian showed me the new sports exhaust he's had fitted to their T350 demo car. I only got to hear it idling, as it wasn't warmed up, but it sounded very tasty, and apparently it's fantastic once the car gets going

It looks good too, and even comes with little inserts that quieten it down for track days.

Might be of interest to anyone who wants their car to sound as good as a CCC equiped Tuscan!

No piccies, but it looks good (better than the original I think), and cost was around £450 ish I think (although don't hold me to that!)

If its ACT's, then they are approx. £325 materials & £250 fitting.

Well thats what TMS quoted me.

It's the Blueflame one, so isn't the same as Valhalla's or the ACT one.

Anyone know if Joolspeed can source and fit sports exhausts, I would assume his labour rates may be a little cheaper then a dealers

I'll vouch for that Dave. Someone should post sounds of the Exhaust systems available on their web site. Them other people could choose. On the other hand it is quite easy for a DIY fit. I should take you 30mins start to finish, 2 x Spanners, 1 x Allen Key and a pair of plyers.

Some after market pipes have a balance pipe. I know that the Peninsula pipes don't.

Think you will find that one was made by a fellow Pher for Ian at castle 'Y18TVR'

He showed his off at the mid Essex meet and told me how did it. It was the nuts...

I had mine fitted over a week ago at castles. they only had two at the time and one was put on the demo T350T. it is absolutely fantastic. Even at low revs under acceleration the roar is fab. if any one has a T350 out there and is kinda envious of the V8's and the tuscan's with thier cans then wait no longer..Fitted its a tad under the £450....will be able to show it off at the next mid essex meet..sounds different to daves as he has a large bore and it slightly throaty. nice to compare.gets my thunbs up and also comes with sleeves to attach by spring clip if the car fails the noise tests at a track day.

Couple of questions!!

Whats it like noise wise in the cabin..? I use mine everyday so was wondering if it could get too much after a bit...?

Also, has the resonance band changed? My standard one resonates in the cabin between 1500 and 3000 rpm...

the noise in the cabin is slightly louder but then again i have been driving around with both windows open.....fantastic. on a serious note the exhaust note is very crisp rather than bellowing. it just accentuates the noise that was there in the first place. in relation to the engine noise between 1500 and 3000 revs....that is a much wider parameter than mine. i would say that IMO the range is more like 2000 to 2500. you would need to listen on a drive to compare the two but its not so bad as to make your ears bleed. most of the noise is out the back rather than in the cockpit.
