Sold today. Just in time, as in 25 days I am off to Texas, and a nice shiny new Lotus Elise will be waiting for me. Sad/excited/nervous/excited

Just a quickie before you go: sum up your opinion and experiences comparing the 350Z to the T350?

'Cos I like both and can't decide which to buy

First of all, I'm not going anywhere. You don't get rid of me that easily!

T vs Z? Ahhh - there's a question... Loved 'em both to bits, depends what you want. I have to say, if they hadn't brought the Elise to the US, I would be getting another Z, no question. I'm currently trying to talk my husband into getting one there instead of another Mini Cooper S. I loved the feel of the car, and it's torque (as opposed to the T350 wanting to be revved a bit more).

If you can deal with the niggles and the pampering involved in TVR ownership (getting up to the right rpm before driving off in the morning, etc.) then owning a TVR is a great experience and nothing really comes close this side of silly money. And the T350 in my opinion is the best TVR offer.

The Z (sandwiched for me between Tuscan and T350 ownership) was like a more user-friendly TVR. Not as fast, not as brutal, not as 'wow', but still fast and exciting to drive. And in wet weather or really at the limit, I was happier in the Z - just felt more sure-footed. I came back to TVR purely because I missed the TVR 'thing'. I had got used to driving something very special, and the Z felt special but not nearly as special as a Tiv.

One thing I loved about the Z was how planted it was at seriously high speed. It just felt invincible. It was also a really great combo of comfy and serious driver's car.

Hope that helps!

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Elise. I agree that the 350Z is a great car too. I'd have a supercharged one if there were no such thing as TVR.

Just think, in a few years time you might be able to buy a 'Federal Tuscan' or T350 in the US!

Good luck in America.

Hey Girlracer! Probably wasn't your car but saw one just like it parked in the car park of Whiteleys shopping centre in Bayswater on Friday 6th! Had the graphite coloured wheels etc and looked AB FAB!!! Shame it's gone, but I have a friend with an Elise who can't stop telling everyone how fantastic it is. Hope you enjoy yours as much as he does. Best o' luck in the USA.
