OK, I've got the newer style T350 targa fitments which work quite well. To a point. At normal cruise altitiude say 90-100 mph it is surprisingly quiet. However, above 130mph (ahem) the panels whistle loudly leading me to think I'm about to lose them.

Since we're heading down to Italy via Germany in a few weeks time I obviously may exceed this speed
Anyone done 'serious' speed in a targa yet and not lost the panels? Above 140mph they sound like they might come off.

I have spent a fair bit of time adjusting them in case there is a more optimal fixing. I think I'm going to attach them to the car with a bit of string in case they do pop off. I think the cost of respraying a scratched roof would probably be no worse than the price of a new/painted panel ... and I'd not get wet in the meantime.

Anyone else got a new style targa with similar experiences?

more worrying is if they come off and hit another car!

Hi,
I am based in Germany with my T350T RR and have had similar experiences.
If you fart around with the roof panels you can get them to be fairly quiet up to 80-90mph.
Above 100mph they start to whistle and at my maximum speed up to now - 150mph on dial- the noise was unbearable. But they stayed on!!
I reckon they need the screw attachments at the front -the roof panel moves backwards at high speed.
