What's the best way? Point a pressure washer in there? Mine is quite dusty after some repainting snag repairs. It's rough GRP in there so not good for sponges/rags/fingers.

ArmourAll do a tyre foam spray, which when sprayed on and left, cleans many surfaces. Thats what I use on mine and it keeps it clean. I hose the area first to "blow" any debris out, then after drying time, spray the foam in - it remains as it should have been when new. I also use it on some of the areas at the front of the engine around the oil tank to clean this relatively inaccessible area, and under the arches.

Sad is the description you are looking for - but guess we are both similar.

Thanks - I'll have a go next time I wash the car.

I know, cleaning orifices nobody ever sees is sad, but it is strangely rewarding. It's probably a bit like colonic irrigation I guess (not that I've had this done, but I switched the TV on last night while I was eating my tea to see a few released hostages floating down a tube ).

My car went in for a few paint snags and the engine bay got completely covered in dust. Thanks. So I've been cleaning what I can reach (it's a sod to reach some bits!).
