Got a terrible start, but left them for dead around 60 (by the looks of it).

I was so busy watching the T350 that I didn't notice what the other cars were! The Corvette, a 911 (which one?) and what was the last one?

Doh!

Was very good. Absolutely thrashed them. I used to like that James May chap but since his slur last night think I may have to do a few fly-bys past his house.

Pretty sure I've seen this 350c car in Putney. Anyone confirm?

No denying the T350 (particularly in RR spec) is a banzai thrapper but dancing on the accelerative grave of an easily slain, boggo Carrera seems wholly unmagnanimous: against a GT3 or Turbo, fair enough but I suspect Yngwie J Strogonov is unlikely to feel compulsion in the general direction of a rousing balalaika solo version of Stiarway to Leningrad, by way of celebration, now is he?

I dont actually remember it being that much of a thrapping of the C4 by the 350 at brunters last...

RR? Most definately I'd say...

A T350 would probably whallop any of the current Astons in the same scenario too - would you compare these two similarly?

made a few quid out of that one… had the obligatory sweepstake with the lads over which one would win…

Ah, but it couldn't be. They definately said '350 bhp'.
I suspect a standard car would have been the quickest anyway, just not by that margin!
Listen to me, I'll be trying to argue that the 4.2 didn't have a std motor back in '96 next

Nice result, but I certainly would have expected the TVR to win easily on basis of power/weight. As mentioned above, a 911 Turbo or GT3 would have been more challenging, even if in a different price stratosphere.

I was surprised and very impressed the Honda came 2nd, as they're only supposed have about 300bhp, and they're certainly not the lightest of cars - I reckon Honda are modest with their power output claims.

Isn't there some law in Japan about restricting output to about 300bhp?

Well, "stated" output, anyway

It's 276bhp, and it's more of an 'agreement' than a law.

gentlemens agreement... originally conceived for emissions legislations IIRC.
