Came to the car today after driving it for 30mins, and leaving to stand for 1 hour and noticed before i put the key in the ignition that the lcd was readong reading 0 mph and 0 rpm the blue a/c light was on too, and handbrake red light was on, slight bussing noise also noticed. Started the car and the screen was frozen as above, couldn't use the controls for a/c heater or fan either. As we drove off the lcd still didnt work but the needle speedo did. Pressing the buttons did nothing either.
Just stuck the car in the garage and lcd is still on and bussing noise still apparant.
Will this run down the battery and what might be the cause.
Any replies welcome

Buzzing noise = fuel pump maybe? If so it won't take long to run the battery down.

It could catch fire, check and disconnect battery if you have to.

Nick,

Take the car to the dealers ASAP, I know the buzzing you mean, it normally buzzes only when it is starting up, (when I hear the buzz, I know the things working!), but for it to be on all the time, that could potentially be a fire hazzard, so cut the power to the battery and get it booked in, just to err on the safe side.

Yes the instrument pod was getting really hot, and i only had 1 1/2 hours before i was going out for my birthday, so panic set in. I actually removed fuse 20 which on inspection was fine, and as soon as i put the fuse back in everything seemed to work ok.
So i will just have to monitor the situation from here.
Cheers

Sounds like the same thing that happened to mine. Instruments stayed on despite ignition key being removed etc. No amount of removing the key, starting car etc would clear it. Buzzing was the fan (i think) in the dash.

battery was low & went flat upon which it reset itself. Problem was 6 months ago & has never come back. dealer had no idea and tvr either didn't know or couldn't be bothered.
