I am now coming up to 2000 miles and cannot find anything in the handbook to tell me what the max revs are and if there is a max rpm automatic cut out.

Presumably the Cerby 6 and Tuscy 6 guys would know or is the engine in the Tamora too different ???????

The car is AWESOME, far too quick for roads !!!!!

Couldn't agree more - it frightens people to death when they look in their mirrors, and see nothing, look again and you're up their tailpipe, and then gone! It looks very aggressive from the front, and I've noticd people shuffling into the gutter, knowing there's a very fast car behind them. i'm becoming even more watchful of other drivers - you need total concentration in a car this fast!! Love it!!!

Drizz

max revs should be around 8000... but be sensible and wait till it's properly run in before you max it... whatever the book says I wouldn't want to be redlining mine until it had about 4-5000 miles on it.

Mine hit the limiter for the first time last week and its done 7000 miles now. it's quick enough without having to thrash it.

Thanks Flasher

I felt a bit of a numpty as I couldn't see anything in the handbook that stated an actual limit. Max revs after the oil change at 6000 miles when its on fully synthetic sounds very sensible.

After all this loving care I expect the engine to go 'round the clock' several times !!!!!!

Incidently I saw the new Jensen coupe the other day, the one with a 4.5 AC cobra engine. I hope to drive it soon..............TVR have nothing to fear.

Of course there is a rev limiter. Also, IMHO, the book says to run up to 2000 miles for a reason. If you don't use max revs occasionally after this there's a chance the rings won't bed in properly and you'll get bad oil consumption and potentially less power.
