I have to confirm my options for the Sagaris next week as I shall be paying the rest of the deposit.

Do I order a close ratio gearbox? I am not sure what benifits it will give me. Also you can order a Hydrotrack diff, do you need this?

Your thoughts on these options two options would be appreciated?

Although hydratrack is regarded as useful in curbing the excesses of huge low-speed torque in Griffs/Chims (cue exciting sideways moments!) consensus from T350 owners is that std. diff is better with S6 engine's much lower low-speed torque as it gives more traction at low speed, & similar at high speed. IMO save your money & have more fun at low speed!

I had the same thoughts re hydratrak..

What about close ratio gearbox though? - will this be beneficial to low speed driving or not? bit confusing as to how this will affect the drive day-to-day?

i was recommended only to get the close ratio if you get RR..

I thought that the Sagaris will have a Tuscan S engine (and therefore already Red Rosed) and would have thought it would also come with a close ratio box like the Tuscan ?

Sorry....let me re-phrase..."i was recommended (when buying my T350c) to only get the close ratio if i get RR"

I have no idea about Sagaris spec's so don't let me confuse the thread!! I was just wondering for my own spec how it would affect the drive of a T350c?

I have a close ratio box on my t350t, but seeing as I'm still running it in, I've no idea what it's going to be like when the engine is in it's power band.

Some things I have noticed (especially compared to my griff ) is that when in traffic, you can't really trundle along in 3rd gear, you have to constantly swap between 1st & 2nd to keep up with the traffic flow - but of course these cars aren't really at their best in traffic jams

I would imagine if you were in a position to order a sagaris and you intend taking it on trackdays, then the close ratio gearbox would be a welcome addition.

Thanks for all the comments, I paid my 10% deposit yesterday and have ordered one with hydratrak, but not the close ratio box.
Thanks Again Sportie
